First of all, why should you even think about JioFi, when you can enable hotspot right from your smartphone? Well, many of us are simply getting a Reliance Jio SIM and just switching on the Wi-Fi hotspot on our smartphone. Till now everything is OK. But the problem with this is, it drains the phone's battery very soon. That is where the new Reliance JioFi 4G hotspot enters the game like IRONMAN. Ha Ha, funny enough. But you can expect somewhere around a minimum of six hours to maximum of eight hours of runtime from the device.
What is Reliance Jio JioFi
Reliance JioFi is a portable 4G hotspot device, that enables you to access the internet not only from your smartphone but also from any other WiFi-enabled devices. Like your Tablet, Laptop, Smart TV, etc. It is very handy and lightweight so that you can carry it wherever you head out. It comes with a rechargeable battery. So you can plug it at home or take your WiFi anywhere out with you.
The JioFi gives around five to six hours of battery backup easily. It supports the connection of up to 10 devices at once. So it is probably the easiest way to get your home online. You can use JioFi with any 2G or 3G smartphone that supports WiFi. And you can Install the Jio Call(previously the "Jio4GVoice") App on your phone from google play store to enjoy 4G voice calling.
What is Inside the Box
The Reliance jioFi comes inside a really strong and beautiful cardboard box. To open the box you have to slide up the cover. Once opened, you will see the device front and then the accessories hidden behind it. The box contains these following things listed below:
1. Reliance JioFi Device
2. Charging Brick
3. USB A to Micro USB Cable
4. Warranty Card
5. Setup Guide
6. Jio4GVoice Paper
JioFi Features
1. Portability
The best probable reason for someone who loves the Reliance JioFi is its portability. No matter whichever model you choose JioFi will always provide you with portability. And not only that it also has a powerful built-in battery inside it. Which allows you to use it when there is no plug around, and it is far better than those USB type modems which needed to be plugged in whenever you wanted to use them.
2. Constant Internet Connection
The main problem of using a smartphone as a hotspot device is it drains the battery a lot. And sometimes when you receive a call the internet gets interrupted. If you got a JioFi you will not get disturbed by that.
3. Connect Multiple Devices
Do you have more than 15 WiFi-enabled devices at your home? No matter if you have or not, because you can connect up to 32 devices with a single Reliance JioFi device. OK buy an unlimited data pack and connect all your smartphones, laptops, PCs, smart TVs, Tablets if all of these combined counts less than 32, then give your neighbor to connect some devices. Jokes apart. I normally connect 4 devices including my Desktop PC, a MacBook Pro, Google Pixel 4 XL, and an iPad Air and after using JioFi for 7 months I have never had any problem to get a stable internet connection on any of these devices.
4. Cat 4 Chipset
One of the many advantages of having a cat 4 chipset is the ability of higher download and upload speed. The device can support up to 150 Mbps download and 50 Mbps upload speed. But real-life experience may vary based on the network strength in your locality.
5. Jio 4G Voice and Video Calls
For some of the JioFi lovers, it may be the second biggest reason that you can enjoy Jio 4G Voice and Video Calls even on a non-4G device. You just gotta install the "Jio Call" app(previously the "Jio 4G Voice") from google play store, complete the easy setup and BOOM! You are ready to go. The best part is that you do not need to use Jio SIM card to make calls, even you will be fit if you have no SIM card inside your phone, because it will use the Jio SIM card present in the JioFi.
